Jeff was joined by former State Senator Hollis French. They discuss his recent termination from the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission by Governor Michael J. Dunleavy. French was appointed to the Commission in 2016 by former Governor Bill Walker. Oddly enough, Mike Dunleavy voted to confirm French when he was in the Senate. French provides some very interesting background and context about how he was treated by his fellow Commissioners. This is a must listen. 

Jeff was joined by Representative Ivy Spohnholz (D - Anchorage). Spohnholz was appointed to fill the seat of former Representative Max Gruenberg when he passed away in 2016. They discuss her history in Alaska, which included being born in a log cabin, her career before being in the legislature, and her time in the Alaska Legislature. She also addresses a rumor that has been floating around about a possible run for higher office. 

Jeff was joined by Senator Cathy Giessel (R - Anchorage). Giessel was elected to serve as Senate President for the 31st Alaska Legislature. Giessel was first elected to the Senate in 2010. They discuss why she had to run for several two year terms as a State Senator, her history in the Alaska Senate, what it's like being Senate President, and the goals of the Senate Majority. They also discuss the budget and PFD. 

Jeff was joined by Nancy Meade. She is the General Counsel for the Alaska Court System. She lives in Juneau during the session and routinely testifies before House ans Senate committees to answer questions about the Court System. They discuss how the Alaska Court System functions, jury duty, the Judicial Council, CourtView, and their budget. 

Jeff was joined by Senator Dan Sullivan (R - Alaska). Sullivan was elected to the United States Senate in 2014. The podcast was recorded at Matanuska Brewing Company in Anchorage. They discuss his first term in office, how federal policies are affecting Alaska, as well as the military in Alaska. They also talk about his career as a Marine and his recent promotion to colonel. He also tells an awesome story about some specially trained dolphins he had to deal with in Sitka during a training mission.

Jeff was joined by newly elected Representative Laddie Shaw (R - Anchorage). Laddie is a former Navy Seal who served in Vietnam. They discuss an interesting part of his last campaign, his history in the Navy, his history and career in Alaska, and a very unique hobby he has that has made him really stand out in Juneau. They also talk about some of his frustrations in the House during the first month of session. Laddie is one of the highest energy people that has appeared on Landmine Radio! 

Jeff was joined by Senator Lisa Murkowski (R - Alaska). Murkowski served in the Alaska House of Representatives from 1999-2002, before she was appointed by then Governor Frank Murkowski to his senate seat. They discuss her time in the Alaska Legislature, including the similarities then to the challenges Alaska is now facing, her increased national profile, President Trump, and current Alaska issues including ANWR and the Arctic. She also tells a good story about the time President Reagan stayed at their house in Fairbanks. 

Jeff was joined by Senator Donny Olson (D - Golovin). Olson has served in the Alaska State Senate since 2001. He represents the very large senate district that includes the Bering Straits/Yukon Delta and the Arctic regions of Alaska. Olson is a pilot and doctor. They discuss his time in the legislature and current issues facing Alaska, including the governor's new budget. Olson also tells the story of how a rogue reindeer nearly caused an airplane to crash. 

Jeff was joined by Representative Adam Wool (D - Fairbanks). Adam has served in Alaska House of Representatives since 2015. He is probably best known for owning the famous bar in Fairbanks, the Blue Loon. They discuss his time in the legislature, current issues facing Alaska, including the budget that just came out, his history in Fairbanks, and some of the acts he has had at the Blue Loon over the years that have included Snoop Dogg and Bill Maher.
