Jeff was joined by Assemblymember Forrest Dunbar. They discuss his run for Congress against Congressman Don Young in 2014, his successful run for the Anchorage Assembly in 2016, his time on the Assembly, and his upcoming reelection in April. They also talk about how he used to do a podcast for the Midnight Sun, as well as the creative parody video he made to launch his congressional campaign in 2014. 

Jeff was joined by Lieutenant Governor Kevin Meyer. This is Kevin's second appearance on Landmine Radio. He has served on the Anchorage Assembly, in the State House, and in the State Senate. They discuss his new role as lieutenant governor, the recent decision in House District 1, and the upcoming legislative session. With no clear majority in the House, Lieutenant Governor Meyer will likely play more of a role than normal when the new legislature gavels in.

Jeff was joined by former Speaker of the House, John Harris. Harris served in the Alaska Legislature from 1999 to 2011, where he represented Valdez. He served as Speaker from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that he served as Mayor of Valdez and was also on the Valdez City Council. He now works as a lobbyist. They discuss his time in the legislature, the current stale mate in the House, putting together an organization in the House, and working as a lobbyist.  

If you were in Anchorage or Southcentral Alaska on November 30th, you definitely felt the big 7.0 magnitude earthquake. The earthquake was the largest to hit the region since the Good Friday earthquake in 1964. Jeff Landfield sat down with Rob Witter, a research geologist with the US Geological Survey, to talk about the science behind what happened. They discuss the recent quake, what kind it was, different kinds of earthquakes, the 1964 quake, and earthquakes in Alaska in general. If you have earthquake questions, like many of us did after the quake, this is a must listen.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Which means Alaskans will be enjoying turkey with friends and family. It also means many will be sharing the infamous video of then Governor Sarah Palin giving an interview, right after pardoning a turkey, with a turkey being slaughtered in the background. It has become known as Turkeygate! Today is the 10 year anniversary. Jeff Landfield spoke with Scott Jensen, the man who was behind the camera, about what happened on this day 10 years ago. Scott also gives some awesome background on his coverage of Palin when she was governor and after she was chosen as McCain's VP nominee. Jeff was joined by Jack Ferguson. Jack is a well known lobbyist in Washington D.C. Jack was the chief of staff for both Congressman Don Young and Senator Ted Stevens. We discuss his history in politics and in D.C., how Washington has changed over the years, and some great stories about Don Young. 

Jeff was joined by retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Margaret Stock. This is her second time on the Landmine podcast. Margaret is an immigration attorney and expert on immigration law. They discuss the recent suggestion of ending birthright citizenship through an executive order by President Trump, the history of the 14th Amendment, a very interesting immigration law regarding Alaska, and other immigration issues.

Jeff was joined by Congressman Don Young. He has been Congressman for all of Alaska since 1973. Young is the currently the Dean of the House, the longest serving member of Congress. He has served under 9 presidents. They discuss his history in Congress including stories about Presidents Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan, Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, Congressman Charlie Wilson, and more. They also talk about some of his previous opponents. His stories are incredible.
