He joined the Army after 9/11 and served two tours in Iraq. He was injured on his second tour and was awarded the Purple Heart. They discuss his time in the military, his work for Senator Dan Sullivan and Congressman Don Young, and his decision to run for the State House.
Jeff was joined by Dr. Jermoe List. Dr. List is an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor practicing in Anchorage. He studied dentistry in the Soviet Union. He later studied medicine in the United States, where became an ENT. They discuss his work as an ENT, some of the conditions he deals with, and some cutting edge treatments for epilepsy. He also talks about some groups he is affiliated with. One is Faces Foundation, that does volunteer work in Peru. The other is Anchorage Project Access, that provides medical care to people without health insurance.
Jeff was joined by Assemblymember Forrest Dunbar. They discuss his run for Congress against Congressman Don Young in 2014, his successful run for the Anchorage Assembly in 2016, his time on the Assembly, and his upcoming reelection in April. They also talk about how he used to do a podcast for the Midnight Sun, as well as the creative parody video he made to launch his congressional campaign in 2014.
Jeff was joined by Lieutenant Governor Kevin Meyer. This is Kevin's second appearance on Landmine Radio. He has served on the Anchorage Assembly, in the State House, and in the State Senate. They discuss his new role as lieutenant governor, the recent decision in House District 1, and the upcoming legislative session. With no clear majority in the House, Lieutenant Governor Meyer will likely play more of a role than normal when the new legislature gavels in.
